Strathroy-Caradoc Hotels with Swimming Pool

"This was my first stay here and I was quite disappointed. The price is good, but the area didn’t feel very safe and the check-in process is inconvenient. If you want to park in the hotel garage, you need a key to open it, which means you have to check in first. However, if you park in the back lot and try to enter through the back door to reach the front desk, that door also requires a key. So when you first arrive, you can’t access the garage or the back entrance until after check-in. This was very inconvenient when carrying large luggage, and it would be even worse in bad weather. The room also had several maintenance issues. Both toilet paper holders were broken and the paper wouldn’t roll properly. The bathtub stopper didn’t work, so the tub couldn’t be used. The body soap dispenser in the shower was empty when we arrived. Also, the bathroom light and fan are connected to the same switch, so you can’t control them separately. Overall, the stay was not very comfortable."

"It was a very busy night there with a lot of children in the pool which is ok but a lot of the children also filled the hot tub for lengthy times leaving no time for adults, it was loud but I could not hear it in my room, overall it was an excellent stay."

"In the middle of the night, when almost all guests were in deep sleep, a drunk man pulled out the fire alarm of the hotel (we were not sure if it was by accidentally or intentionally 😥), which killed the entire night. Negative. "

"Building is massive but once adjusted it was great. Amazing rooms, staff was amazing at front desk, only downside was that the pool was freezing. "

"We stayed at this property for two nights, while on a little staycation with our three little kids. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, with kitchen, and it was perfect size, clean and well laid out (one room on either side of a living room/kitchen. Hotel was close to lots of restaurants, and only a 12min drive to the children’s museum / the Factory. I called the hotel in advance and they put our requested two cribs in the room for our arrival. The breakfast area downstairs does not have highchairs - just an FYI. The only downside of this hotel was the pool- which was a must for our kids. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in many many months. It had floating debris on top not being picked up by the filter (likely because the filter hadn’t been checked…) there was so much debris sunk to the bottom by the stairs it actually looked a different colour and was disgusting. We did ask them to skim the top, but I’m not sure the staff knew why I was asking. If you’re not planning on using the pool, the hotel was great, in an excellent safe location and very friendly staff. "
