The hotel is beautiful, with lots of historic stuff, it really feels ancient, authentic but it is clean. There is a forest around it where you can hike, visit a stream. Beware: the gps coordinates here on hotels.com take you to a cornfield not to the hotel, you have turn left well before it, at the Schloss Ernegg sign in the village under the hill.

The building we resided in bore a profound sense of history, transporting us back in time and making us feel like royalty. Prior to our arrival, the staff diligently inquired about our expected check-in time and even recommended a nearby restaurant for our evening meal. The breakfast spread was not particularly extensive, but the servers responsible for breakfast exuded warmth and friendliness. Regrettably, our assigned bathroom lacked hot water during our nighttime shower. Upon raising this issue, we were informed that a technician would attend to the water heater only by 8 a.m. the following day. Upon our insistence, alternative arrangements were made for us to use another bathroom on the same floor. Nevertheless, we feel it is crucial for the establishment to have on-site staff during the night to address guest concerns in person, rather than merely over the phone, and to facilitate immediate solutions. Though we were granted a discount on our room rate due to this inconvenience, we firmly believe that there is significant room for improvement in this area.

Hier ist es schwierig die Sauberkeit zu bewerten, da das Schloss über 1000 Jahre alt ist. Aber es war eine wirkliche Erfahrung mit dem alten Ofen, der auf dem Zimmer steht und durch das Personal angemacht werden muss. Für Holz nachlegen ist man selber verantwortlich. Eine sehr schöne Location ist es trotzdem. Ideal für festliche Anlässe.

Da wir eine Spätanreise hatten, wurden wir telefonisch kontaktiert und unser Zimmerschlüssel in einem Safe hinterlegt. Der Weg zu unserem Zimmer wurde mit kleinen Laternen markiert. Was uns sehr überrascht und gefreut hat war, dass die Türen zu allen unbelegten Zimmern offen standen und wir diese bestaunen konnten. Unser Zimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet und befand sich inmitten der grandios eingerichteten sonstigen Räumlichkeiten. Am nächsten Tag genossen wir ein sehr gutes Frühstück im gepflegten Schlossgarten.

Lovey setting but severely lacking in comfort.

Lovely location and view from hotel but Definetely not business friendly. No on site restaurant and the one in the golf course was closing at 8pm. Very hot room in July with no air conditioning, no table to work. Breakfast frugal. Coffee machine not working, had to ask staff 3 times to empty it add water etc.. Mattress very soft and very heavy duvet not suitable for this high temperature.

It was beautifull and lovely to live in a SCHLOSS

The schloss was very open We could see each room and their was many to see. It is very old but it was very clean and renovated. It is up a mountain and their was a big golfclub.

Business Trip in Paradise

Business trip turned into a wonderful experience. Ms. Marion at the front desk is exceptionally friendly and provided a tour of the castle as well as ensuring we had some of the best views in the castle. If in the area for recreation or business, this is definitely worth a visit. I look forward to returning with my wife so she may experience the location as well.

Castle in the countryside

The gardens and exterior of castle are beautiful by day but very dark at night. The staff was very friendly and the antiques were very interesting.

Unique and friendly

Very friendly staff and a beautiful location. It is an ancient castle and therefore you should not expect it to be too modern. There are no staff in the evening so you have to go into the town (2minutes drive) to eat out or get a takeaway. they do leave the bar open and you can get a drink using an honesty policy.

Hotel is old castle. Unique but circa 1665. No elevator. Hotels.com mobile application is not accurate to the hotel. When you book it says every room has private bath, but that is not true. No restaurant, no valet, self serve bar/lounge. Isolated, which is fine. Wireless did not work. Plugs are difficult to find in our room. Hidden behind drapes. No elevator and stairs are steep and narrow. Parking is a bit of a distance from hotel entry. Locks are old and difficult to manage. It was unique and fun, but did not meet the expectations of the Hotels.com description.
