Hotels near State Park Trailhead

"I was really disappointed that there was an undisclosed $30 pet fee per pet, which led to me spending almost half of what I paid for the room for the dogs to sleep inside. I understand the fee, but why per pet? The gal behind the counter was super kind and acknowledged that it there shouldn't be surprise fees. The stay itself was fine, though there appeared to be some stains on the comforter from whoever stayed before me. Wallace was a cute town, but I'll probably check out the Wallace Inn or the Brooks Hotel and their pet fees the next time I pass through. "

"Checkin was flawless. Staff welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful in a transportation crisis, causing us to need an additional night in the room. Furnishings were placed to cause a very functional stay, including the deck table and porch swing. Our room also had reclining chairs and a table to sit at. Pool room and water was exceptional. Gift shop was extensive and well organized with beautiful souvenir items and gifts. This place has a walking trail to the river which we did not have time to take, but walked to the entrance of trail. The grounds have the look and feel of our past stays in Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, California. Absolutely perfect in every way. Oh, did I mention the ice cream and drinks you can buy in the gift shop? 😃 "

"Room was immaculately clean, spacious, with comfortable beds. Tastefully decorated with antiques, fitting for a 100+ year old historic hotel. There is no elevator, so be prepared to carry you luggage up one flight of stairs."

"Convenient location, close to I 90. I didn’t find it to be noisy like some of the other reviews. Room had good TV channel options and a comfortable full size bed with a full fridge and newer sink. However, The carpet felt damp and dirty and there wasn’t a sink or mirror in the bathroom. The door jam and many other things on the property were in disrepair so I probably won’t return. "

"Staff is very very nice and understanding we stayed from March 7th-13th (well originally thts what we was supposed to stay) we then had to ask them for another 2 nights due to a winter storm and they was cool with it! I highly recommend staying at the Dew Duck if you are traveling to Montana! 😁"
