"Checked in. 1. TV didn’t work, not a big deal, they came and repaired it. 2 Bed had no top sheet! Slept with nothing, too hot to sleep with a blanket, see next… 3. Air conditioning did not work, it was 10 PM when we returned and realized it was now 78 in the room, stuck it out for the night, they moved us to another room across the hall. "We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Virginia Guesthouse. The hotel had opened up just the month before, and the property was very-well appointed, and immaculate. It felt like a room night should have cost at least a couple times more than I did. Added bonus, our breakfast at their restaurant was amazing."

"The bar is superb, and staffed by an exceptionally attentive staff. The level of hospitality offered here is truly exceptional. The hotel is built around a central atrium. It is quite calm and soothing to spend any amount of time in there. Throw in glass elevators that overlook the atrium, and a number of rooms with an interior view, and you've got an extraordinary experience waiting for you. "

"Clean hotel with good breakfast included. Staff was great. Convenient to UVA Medical Center. Only downside is parking can be challenging in the parking garage due to limited space. I would recommend and stay here again."

"The stay was very average. Positives is it is a beautiful complex with trails and access to the sports complex. Negatives are that they ran out of towels for one of the days at both the pool and in our room, spider webs on the balcony railings and chairs, found items in our room that were not ours and left from prior stays, and the pool was very underwhelming (no towels, pool bar closed, and not nearly enough chairs)."
