"The ‘old bask’ (with its spacious studios on the upper floors with the seaside view) was always a lovely place to stay, with its close proximity to piers, docks & restaurants. The now completed additions are an upgrade but now it also includes the new restaurant “mar” with a Top Chef associate running the kitchen (one had to try the grilled octopus sitting on a plantain!) This puts Morehead City into a whole new experience level, justifying the long trip"

The breakfast (with the exception of the egg-omelette) was not edible; the lack of healthy, non-processed food was stunning. But needed a bed and a shower … this place needs a major...

If the host could improve the cleanliness of the kitchen, freshen up the house, and ensure blankets are available, it would make the stay much more comfortable."
