Hotel Dekat Stadium António Coimbra da Mota

"Possibly the world’s best hotel! I almost hesitate to write this because it feels as though we’ve discovered gold in a world full of noise and sameness — a true gem I want to keep secret. But the extraordinary people behind this independent hotel deserve every bit of recognition. The hotel is stunning, with breathtaking views and a wonderful location, but what makes it exceptional is the team. Incredibly professional, yet genuinely warm, friendly and engaging. In a world of generic, impersonal...

"Nice, clean hotel with central location."

"The hotel is well located in a very quiet spot of the historic centre, not much kerb appeal but nicely designed lobby and the rooms are eminently Instagramable and very clean with comfy beds but they lack comfort like no easy chair (just two small poufs) no table or desk, no shelves (bar the mantelpiece) and a microscopic wardrobe. With two suitcases manoeuvring around the room can be very complicated so if you have a lot of luggage you may ask the hotel before you get there or find...

"We loved everything about our stay. The staff is so friendly, the breakfast is amazing and the location is great."

"1"

"Clean room and comfortable bed, good size, and the freezer was a nice addition. The breakfast was plentiful including cooked options. The staff were helpful and offered me an early check in and a slightly later check out too. The bathroom tap had poor pressure and the shower head holder was broken. The biggest issue was though the loud noise from adjoining primary school throughout the day from early morning to late evening, which made working remotely, etc very difficult. Had I known about this...

"As always, never doubted my stay here, Everyone is so professional and the hotel is amazing, the breakfast and bar is great. Would totally recommend to anyone"

"I cannot recommend this place more for service. Despite some issues with the power and hot water one day, the staff kept us informed and even gave us a bottle of wine to apologise. Always there to help and very friendly. The room was specious and nice and the hotel is a little gem hidden right in the centre of the town. High praise from us."

"The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. Parking would have been better if we were told that they had a voucher for parking. We were not told that until after my husband went driving around looking for a place to park. I would not completely recommend this place as our "junior suite" was basically in the attic and we had to climb 39 stairs every day up and down. Be sure to know what room you have and do not get rooms 8 or 9 unless you like climbing stairs everyday."

"This location was within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, and Rainha beach. The quality of the bed and linens and the attention to detail was impeccable. it was like being in a protected oasis and Marco and the staff were so sweet and extremely helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices, also very helpful if you’re running up to Sintra or sightseeing. We would highly recommend!"

"We just loved our stay at Chalet Ficalho! The building, grounds and decor all radiated old-world charm. The walled property nestled in a neighborhood felt like a private sanctuary. The staff are attentive, professional and accommodating. Everything here is just so pleasant, from the delightful breakfast on the patio to the private outdoor pool. Private parking is a bonus!"

"Loved!"

"Overall good experience that was expected for this price point."

"Beautiful hotel, friendly staff! Can’t wait to visit again!"
