Dommage que ça ne soit pas possible de petit déjeuner avant 7h30. Et dommage d’attendre ensuite la préparation de son petit dej. Quand on est pressés pas idéal."

I managed to navigate the stressful 'check in' system - which involves standing in the street and scanning a QR code and then filling in a form - by emailing to ask for the access code in advance which they were happy to oblige. "We just completed a marvelously pleasant stay at this hotel. We were finishing a one month circuit of western France and some of the hotels we stayed at were, well, kind of meh. This was a wonderful final stop. The hotel is linked via a parking deck which leads to a shopping mall, which leads to the Place Comedie which is the main pedestrian path in the old town center. "The hotel had no hot water. The restaurant does not have dinner Monday and they referred us to a restaurant in town where the food was very disappointing. It is hard to get into the hotel (gate - you have to call) and hard to get out (the gate again / hard to find the stand with the button to open it - why can’t the reception person point these out when you arrive? But the worst was no hot water.."
