I’ve stayed at Sirata 6–7 times over the past 10 years, and it’s usually great—but this most recent visit fell far short.
Our room didn’t appear properly cleaned. The beds were made, but the floor, tub, and bathroom were noticeably dirty. We were also placed between rooms with older kids who ran between rooms, drank, and made noise outside our door until 3 a.m.
After a sleepless night, we moved to a higher floor—losing our balcony. In the new room the sofa bed was broken, slanted, had a stained mattress, and came with no bedding. Getting bedding took over an hour. Staff said it couldn’t be provided at the desk but never delivered it, and I had to go back down to get it myself. The staff was rude, and the front desk phone was always busy.
When it rained, water leaked through the exhaust fan in the ceiling. The property overall felt neglected: used vapes and soda cups stayed in elevators for days, and bags of mulch sat untouched in common areas.
Sadly, we won’t be returning to Sirata. It’s disheartening to see the decline in cleanliness, service, and professionalism—especially with rising prices. We’ve made great memories here, but next time, we’ll stay elsewhere, like Tradewinds.
