"Great place"

"A lovely hotel in a great location. Staff was welcoming. We walked out the door and were on the board walk. Absolutely beautiful! Breakfast was good with a variety of food selections. My reason for 4 stars is that our room felt damp. We had to have the AC running all the time. It was a hot, humid day in Duluth so maybe the AC just couldn’t keep up with it."

"The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay."

"This is a pleasant modern motel on the outskirts of town. It has nothing special about it -- the room is basic, and functional. There's no in-room coffee or water heater. "My favorite thing about this hotel was the shower head. Very powerful. We had a city view room on 11th floor. One of 2 complaints we had were that we signed up for 2 queen beds and received 2 full beds. We were told by staff that this was an Expedia problem and not their problem (although their own website lists queens as well, so be sure if this is important to you that you really delve into that). "The hotel was fine. It was clean and comfortable. The curtain in the bedroom wouldn't close so it was very bright in the room by 5:30 am, the TV was also disconnected in the bedroom and the overhead light in the bedroom didn't work. For $300/night I would have expected more."

"Parking situation is very poorly explained and set up. The street markings out front appear to show that you can’t pull up, stop or unload at the main lobby door, and there’s seemingly no concierge. The actual parking garage is on the far side of the block on a one way system, we had to go around twice before we were able to identify the correct access point. "This is an old property. Our room AC was loud, the carpets looked tired. Small pie shaped rooms with small bathrooms. I thought the overall stay was fine, the cheaper end of room rates in town. Free coffee available in the lobby and we never went to the restaurant. It is right downtown in Duluth and close to the water. Also no daily maid service."

"I personally like my room and how pain it was plus the staff are very helpful. I raid some reviews that talks about the smell, but that was not an issue for me because there was no found smell. For the price I think it is very good and good location too."

"Nice place, quiet and clean, surrounded by woods so peaceful setting but near shoos and restaurants. OK pool but no hot tub. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Room has a kitchen with dishes and cookware. Nice size closet for a studio suite. My only real complaint was the beds were like cement and so uncomfortable. I had to buy a mattress pad just to sleep. The pillows didn't have any stuffing and we're like sleeping on cloth."
