The room for the price was great! Comfortable beds, clean, accommodating to our dog. The morning staff, including the gentleman at the front desk, waitress in the restaurant on Saturday morning, and motel cleaning personnel, were all excellent!

The hotel had character which is why we chose it. Bed's comfy too. All in all no real complaints. However, we did get a coupon for breakfast. Breakfast for 2 came to 65$. Thats quite a bit. When coupon was applied it was still approx 35$. Not sure it was worth it. 8$ for 2 coffee is a bit much. Other than that, all was ok.

The staff was pleasant and accommodating , the pub menu was well rounded; the food delicious. The VLTs on property were a plus. The room was nice the bathroom very clean with the exception of one spider surprising me in the shower. The smoke shack was big and comfy. One bus to downtown, 10 mins on foot to the mall. All in all a great stay.

The good-the Guv'nor was very conveniently located close to where I needed to be. The sheets & towels were clean & the staff at the front desk were helpful & efficient. The bad-the room smelled, I wondered if I would smell like it after spending a few days there. The bathroom toilet needed a good dose of javex & under the bed hadn't been cleaned in probably a few years. Overall, it worked for my purposes but I wouldn't stay again & I would have a hard time recommending it. It needs cleaning & updating!
