The building was wonderful. Our room was perfect. Free parking and wifi also a breakfast box delivered every morning. 15 min walk to George st We really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely place to stay. Only seven rooms.
Breakfast is pre-prepared and delivered outside your door every morning.
Handy location for downtown and five-minutes walk from The Rooms (a fabulous museum/art gallery).
So much character to this property in a great location for walks downtown. Loved the boxed breakfast although would be good to change it occasionally. The room had some fan noise from another room and parking was full on our last night stay and we had to park on the street. All in all, I would come back again and recommend it to others! Thank you!
The a/c needed a towel under it to soak up the water from the a/c.
Phone did not work and wasn’t fixed when we reported it.
Bkft was from 8-10. It was out of coffee and milk for cereal by 9:30 and not replenished both mornings of our stay.
Property has recently been sold. Perhaps things will change.
Travelling solo, I was pushed to the third floor (up steps no elevator).
No radio and TV wouldn’t ‘t work ; when travelling solo the silence is not good. Clearly TV worked in other rooms, I could hear it! No staff around to ask for a correction. Water stops when in the shower. Called more than 24 hours in advance to cancel another single night stay ( on the eave of a holiday/regatta ) and was told no refund; when they could ( and likely are) reselling the room at 2X cost.
This site is right on the road and city street cleaners/machinery passes by 4 X between midnight and 1 AM; waking all visitors. This is not family friendly.
Advertisements say WiFi included and breakfast; in addition to no TV or radio, WiFi does not work and a boxed breakfast left at your door ( including heavily bruised, inedible apples)
Far from downtown and NO restaurants nearby.
Don’t do it!
lovely small hotel. It was taken over by new owners the day before we arrived so they have some things to attend to - we had no housekeeping. Caretaker on site was so helpful and tried so hard to please.
Lovely spacious room. Charming decor in heritage building.
It was nice to chat with fellow travellers around the breakfast table.
The shower was quirky as was adapted to work with a antique claw foot tub.
Loved our time there!
Nous sommes arrivés deux heures en avance et notre chambre était disponible. Bel accueil et belles commodités offertes. Bien situé pour marcher et visiter St-John’s à pied.
it is very nice and quite. My only issue is that there is very poor tv choices.I thought we were back when we had no fibre connections.Sad!! Everybody got better than that in there homes today for what a few more choices would cost.An extra$5.00 on the room would make the viewing more attractive.
Beautiful heritage character in authentic turn of the century home of Lord and Lady Bennett. Lovely fireplace and stain glass in my room and common areas. Very comfortable bed and furnishings. High ceilings and windows that look out to other heritage homes. Lots of amenities including fridge and microwave in common area and breakfast included. Helpful staff. Great location. I would definitely like to come back to stay here again.
Great old period type home. Well appointed. Although it was nice that the bathroom had a heated floor it would never shut off and was too hot for the feet. Breakfast was lacking. Great location near downtown. Would stay here again as it was quite charming.
A well renovated mansion with large comfortable room. Location is excellent. Place is very clean. Self serve breakfast is adequate. The only problem with with the limited free parking at the back of the property. Excellent value.
We enjoyed our stay at Cabot Boutique Hotel. It was as if we 'lived' in St. John's. Close to Bannerman Park, walking distance to downtown shops & restaurants, situated on a lovely street.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
Good location. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Staff was pretty much invisible. Not sure if that was because of covid. Not what I was expecting in Newfoundland.
