I arrived without a Swiss outlet compatible adapter. I enquired if they might know as to where I could purchase one, and the clerk supplied me with one until I could buy one the next morning. I also asked about suggestions for meals, sight-seeing, and general information, and was kindly helped during my stay. Being located just across from the Bahnhof and so close to the Cathedral, makes this hotel a perfect choice when staying in Skt. Gallen. Wonderful breakfast buffet options!

We had a large corner room that was clean and comfortable. Loads of windows! It was a bit noisy, with people talking loudly into the night. Breakfast was very good.

Nice Hotel Centrally Located.

Really nice place to stay. Excellent location centrally located to the train station and city. If you have to be collected from the hotel by a colleague or limousine you need to arrange a pick up place nearby the hotel as buses and taxis can only enter the roads outside the hotel. Room was comfortable and had what I needed. Breakfast included is a nice touch and is very good. Reception offered very good service and support and I appreciated that.

Super conveniently located, right opposite the main train station! The room was clean, and laid out like the pictures. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because 1) the check-in instructions were a little confusing, so me and a few other random guests (who actually did speak german) were waiting for 15 minutes, and 2) the shower leaked in one random corner.

The breakfast was great! The staff was very helpful and even stored some cheese in their walk-in cooler for me. The location is very convenient to the train station and sites in St Gallen. The bad was there is no cooler in the room. Also the walls are so thin it seemed as the guy next door was blowing his nose in our room.

Conveniently located, just a few step from the train station - But no one at reception, must go to restaurant next door to pick up envelope with the key. Wifi: must enter your phone number and receive by SMS a password. Room was always hot and the cooling did not work. Only after sunset it was cooler (opening the window) but a lot of the noise from the street. The hotel knows about this as they provide ear plugs in the bathroom…. Arrived at 09.00 for breakfast (which finishes at 10.00 am), there was 2 slices left of ham and 2 of salmon left. I waited, waited and waited for more to come, never did. When I left the woman asked me if I had enough (she obviously exactly knew that there was no food), I politely replied that I will come earlier tomorrow as I don’t like to complain. Second night (Saturday) more noise in the street past midnight, then trucks to wash the street… not a pleasant night. Second breakfast arrived much earlier, the food was very good, but again in limited quantity. Fill up the online check out time form for between 11.00 and 11.30. At 10.50 someone enter my room ?!? Not a hotel I can recommend nor will come back.

Location can't get more central

Quick overnight stop in St. Gallen. Hotel is right opposite to train station, very convenient. Make sure you read the messages you get from the hotel before arrival, you need the door code to get in if you arrive late.

Hotel Metropol…great location

Location across street from train and all public transport was amazing. Then just a short walk to the lovely downtown area. Room and decor were very comfortable.

Absolutely amazing staff. Check-in was easy and they helped us with every issue. Location is extremely convenient - right next to the train and bus stations, yet very close to the old town and shopping. Highly recommended!
