"My wife and I stayed at the Copthorne, it is situated within a retail park easy to get to from the M4. Stayed two nights, the room was basic reminding me of the 90's, it was clean, there was tea/coffee facilities, ironing board, TV that was temperamental, fridge and a comfortable bed. Although shown as a FOUR star, it really is THREE. There was no safe, no air con, no tissues and no pen or notepad. Ryan checked us in and he was full of information, a credit to the hotel. "The hotel has been refurbished since the last time I stayed. The rooms are clean, tidy and well equipped. The staff are very helpful and friendly, particularly the young man who checked us in.
The only downside for me was paying for parking. As a resident I think parking should have been free. That said I had an excellent stay and would not hesitate to stay again nor recommend to friends."

Had a huge bedroom that was, on the whole, pretty clean.
Had an issue with grime in the sink. Staff didn't seem to care or offer anything in goodwill.
Breakfast was average.
Views very pretty.

"The resort was clean throughout & our room was very good but sadly the beds & pillows were too hard for me resulting in disturbed sleep but this was just my experience as my husband thought they were very good. The reception staff were very good but unfortunately the breakfast staff were not as efficient. "We booked a 2 night stay for our 9th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have been happier. So happy in fact that on checkout we actually went back inside for one more coffee before leaving.
The Bruce Suite was immaculate and perfect. Little touches wishing us best wishes on our anniversary with a prosecco on arrival, a card and even little touches when having our evening dinner meal.
The spa was amazing and genuinely as a whole experience makes our top 3 of all time.
Staff were always on...

"Reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was gorgeous.
However the spa area was dreadful, gym was small changing rooms were awful, run down and grubby. No private changing facilities. Tiles were mouldy the toilets smelt very bad. In the pool area the whole area was grubby bits of tiles missing and covered with masking tape. The tiles around the hot tub were mouldy, window sills were rotting and flaking away. Not what I expected from a luxury chain...
