"We had a wonderful stay. We were welcomed by a very kind and friendly couple who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The house is beautiful and has a very interesting history that made our stay even more special. Roland, the owner, personally gave us a tour of the property and shared fascinating stories about the house. "so check in was a mess as they would not let my wife check in without me as her name was not also on the reservation. i understand there are security issues but I assured the front desk she was my wife and i was authorizing her to get a key. I was asked to call central reservations but they were useless and could not help me as the reservation was made through expedia. I was able to get expedia to add the name and the hotel eventually let her in. but should not have been so difficult for my wife...

"When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that my reservation was canceled. The hotel staff was very helpful in booking me a new reservation and also gave me a discount. The room had a slight odor but seemed to be clean. there was no telephone In the room the landing leading to the room, there were several people sitting out there smoking cigarettes, and the smell was going throughout the property. other than that It wasn't that bad for the price."
