Vineyard Hacienda looks charming from the outside and has a very nice looking pool and spa, but once you enter the place, it is filled with dark hallways leading to various rooms. The furniture is very old, like imagine grandma's furniture and one room was even cordoned off like it was a museum. While the place was generally tidy, it was very dated and had an odd feeling to it. It was quite scary actually. I mean, the second I walked in I felt like there was an odd energy there. There was no way I was going to spend the night there. I booked a room at Jamul Casino which was close by and had brand new rooms for only 20 dollars more than Vineyard charged me. And speaking of charging, they didn't offer me any of my payment back even though I did not stay there. I understand that there is a cancellation policy, but their ad was so misleading that I feel it was dishonest. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Some friends stayed at Sycuan for $100 per night and said it was amazing! I never leave reviews but if this saves at least one poor soul from disappointment then it was worth my time to write it.
