"We booked this hotel as we thought it value for money. In the c3ntre of town it is well placed for exploring Spalding. Very nice place actually, given a few eyebrows were lifted when we told others we were staying at The Red Lion! I do not know why this was, perhaps it has had a makeover and been restaffed. Anyway, we would recommend it. Nice breaky too!"

"Receptionists were very welcoming, informative and friendly. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. The bar staff worked extremely hard, and dealt with the volume of customers in a friendly, respectful and professional manner. Breakfast and service were very good, staff friendly and helpful. My only very small grip would be the quality of the black pudding, very poor and too thin to be called ‘black pudding’. I was very disappointed, as it’s my favourite breakfast item. Delighted with our room, very clean, well presented, lovely decor, everything worked really well, we especially enjoyed the powerful shower. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend this hotel to all our family and friends. Thank you for helping in making our stay a memorable one with our very dear friends. "The hotel grounds are lovely and it’s a good location but ideally need a car to get to and town. The rooms themselves are a little dated but spacious and comfortable. They were very clean but they are dark and need better lighting. We ate in the restaurant and my meal wasn’t the best but the breakfast was fresh and well stocked. The spa was clean and a nice addition but the men’s changing rooms were not great. The women’s changing rooms would be better with cubicles to change. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall a nice stay and would come back."
