"We had a most enjoyable experience at the Parador de Cardona, perched high up in a beautiful location. All the staff, reception, bar and restaurant, were very helpful and professional. Our room at the top of the castle was well-furnished with a large, comfortable four-poster bed and decent bathroom, both with wonderful views. The AC worked very well. Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the service perfectly paced, not hurried. As it’s half-way between homes in Spain and France, we very much look forward to our next visit. BTW, if you’re anticipating a comfortable hotel in an 11th century castle, it’s exactly that and I suggest you ignore low-star ratings mentioning lack of “coffee stations” and “pools”, it’s not a motel in MAGA-land, thank goodness!
