Hotels near Smalley Playfield

"We were unable to use the pool/hot tub due to so many children in the pool and hot tub using pool floats. We witnessed 10 children staying in two rooms with two adults on our floor during our stay. At one point they all went to the pool area and they all had large pool floats. The number of unattended children made it impossible to partake in the 5pm break time/drinks/popcorn. Basically we stayed in our room because the main floor was so crowded. There was popcorn everywhere on the floor in the hallways. Children were using the elevators like toys going up and down in groups without any adults present. Letting 5+ children stay in one room and having birthday parties in hotel rooms while people are trying to rest/relax is counter productive. I have had better stays at a days inn hotel with cleaner facilities and pool area. The free food and drinks we couldn't partake in due to so many people and children running around did not make this worth the stay. For such a nice looking hotel it was ruined by staff allowing children to run around and not caring about other paying customers. We will not be returning to a Drury Inn if this is how business is conducted. If we wanted to be surrounded with unattended children we would have stayed at Great Wolf Lodge not far from here. "

"First time trying a Drury Inn. Very friendly staff, was nice to have the supper and drink option, only hotel I know that does that. Was happy with our room- clean and spacious. Would go back."
