"We had a great stay in apartment number five, but our checkin process with the front desk at Crystal Hotel was horrible. Everything up to the payment was great, but then it turned to a complete mess. With no information at all, I was presented with a much higher bill than the Hotels.com confirmation. We do not use euros and I had to do a quick calculation in my head to notice the difference, which was significant. "We enjoyed our stay and the location was great. The lounge/restaurant area was a lovely space to relax by the fire and have something to eat and drink. The rooms were nice but could do with some extra features like somewhere to put the suitcase and some better lighting (it was too dark). We also found very limited bathroom amenities for a hotel of this standard. For example a one product "does everything" which I find is more of a 3 star hotel feature. "

"Very nice hotel. What made this a 5 star rating is the gentleman working the front desk at 0500. I was uncomfortable walking to the train station which is about a ten min walk, at that hour. I went to the ground floor to leave and there was a man standing outside the door looking very interested in getting in the hotel. I went back to the reception desk. I told the gentleman what I saw and that I wasn’t comfortable walking with luggage to the station. He checked the security camera and saw what I was talking about and immediately called a taxi. He then escorted me to the car and stayed until I was inside the taxi. Please send along my appreciation and thanks. Yeah, the cab was €10 but it was money well spent. "
