"Golden Sun is great!! The people are so friendly, welcoming and helpful! It was a great base to our week long stay in Patmos and we really enjoyed it! The only thing I’d say is that it functions more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The breakfast was incredible though and the views were to die for! Was so sad to leave! We also got daily turn down service which was really nice! We often spent the day out and brought leftovers back to the hotel and they don’t have a restaurant and a very minimal room service menu. If there could be a microwave added for guests to use in the afternoon and evenings that would be great!!! But overall a really nice and pleasant stay! You won’t be sorry you booked!!"

"First things first, Nikolas and his family are the kindest most helpful people you will ever meet. From picking us up at the port, to providing us with fresh fruit, eggs, cake, biscuits and lifts in his car to the monastery, the cave and the beach literally every day, nothing is too much trouble for them and you don’t even need to ask - this is all offered with kindness. We had an upstairs room with a spacious balcony, a comfy bed, and a separate kitchen/dining area which was kept spotlessly clean. It’s traditionally Greek - not very modern but perfectly adequate. We had a lovely view across the fields to the marina and there are chickens and goats in the field. The property is a good 20 minutes walk into the main port where all the shops and bars and restaurants are, but it’s a flat and easy walk. Would definitely return and recommend."

"Contacted Irene the night before to arrange check-in for the following day, she responded immediately and said she would come pick us up from the ferry...very nice gesture, very thoughtful and much appreciated. Took us to the room which was spotlessly clean and made us feel at home. Irene is a very warm, friendly and sincere person...we felt at home. The room was large, well ventilated and very functional with a small kitchen and inside and outside eating space. Close to beaches, a supermarket and a short walk to the ferry. Patmos was also within walking distance. Only negative is that the mattress could be a little more comfortable. Otherwise, an excellent option. Many thanks."
