The Barracks hotel has been lovingly renovated and is a fantastic hotel! Its lovely friendly staff go out of their way to ensure your stay with them is one to remember. The food is excellent and the rooms spotlessly clean. One extra special touch was speaking with Winston a war vetran, who shares his stories and sketches of being a soldier living in The Barracks during the war. This hotel was a fantastic find.

The hotel is clean, the pool is huge, the rooms comfortable, the service is exceptional and the food fantastic. We loved it we hated the whole Universal theme park scene but just hung out in the Barracks most days and relaxed food in and close to the hotel is great and service is fantastic you can go to Vivo city food court for a huge choice of local cuisines or just relax at the hotel Ray

Tremendous property- a real gem of a hotel, stunning room and the suite was perfect with the adjoining upstairs room that we could use as the second bedroom for our older (almost) adult child. The happy hour of free cocktails and canapés was a bonus to boot. Will definitely return.

Escape at The Barracks

Staying at The Barracks is superb, from the moment you arrive the staff are professional and welcoming. The hotel and pools are immaculate and beautiful, with relaxing terraces and cafe to totally relax at. The rooms are luxurious, perfectly sized with large balconies to escape to with a coffee and good book.

A Great Escape

Our busy lives are exhausting so we always look forward to relaxing at the Barracks, such a warm welcome and great team make our stay always perfect. The pools are stunning and food and drinks excellent. Only minutes to other restaurants and beautiful beaches, a great escape.

Rich in history building

Relax and friendly staff. The staff pay attention to details. I am also surprised by the historians staff at the hotel. They are so willing to share history of Singapore.

Amazing hospitality in a calm colonial vibe

A welcome drink and an iced cold towel greet you when you arrive. Although on the pricier end, the room rate comes with a la carte breakfast, all-day lounge access from 8am to 8pm, and canapes and cocktails served from 4-7pm. Your breakfast starter, main, and timeslot are reserved a day before. Mini bar in the gorgeous room is complimentary, save for 3 mini liquor bottles at $15 each. The colonial-themed room also comes with a spacious tub, separate shower and wc, as well as a balcony overlooking the pool. Pool closes late at 9pm. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. Highly-recommended gem if you need to switch off from the hustle and bustle.

If being quiet and tranquil is your thing, this is the perfect place. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The cocktail hours with canapés were delights. The pool was clean, calm and beautifully pointed. The garden sprayed a tropical elegance. All in all was a rather pleasant stay for us. Highly recommend!!!

This is an amazing place to stay steeped in history. The rooms are well laid out and overlook both the grounds and the pool. A warm welcome and great hospitality awaits and it is definitely the staff that make this property even more inviting. They all go above and beyond to help you. They strive to give everyone individual attention and are especially welcoming towards children. We have stayed in several different hotels from high end luxury to BandB but this is definitely the best, the people make the place!

Beautiful property! Meticulously maintained. Highly attentive staff . Everyone I encountered was great and gave me recommendedations everyday when needed. Breakfast was great everyday. Would definitely recommend and stay again . Room with personal plunge pool with jets was private but accessed the main pool as well. Quality place and quality people, and this is coming from someone who usually doesn't write reviews.

Friendly Service with quality a good atitude. Needs improvement in room service protocols like sending a tea in a paper cup with tea bag inside ( as if room service should be like take away to go out) or forgetting to send salt and pepper in tray when you order scrambled eggs. They don’t have the individual portion. Air purifier in room is too noisy. So is the little fridge. Location and building are beautiful.
