"To be clear, I really, really wanted to love this place. It came recommended by a friend who stayed here several years ago.
We have stayed in many heritage inns and understand the quirks and challenges they can bring but this was not that.

"The cottage is well maintained. The little touches are nice, books to read, games available to play, doodle art book to color. The host and hostess went beyond to make sure I was settled in and comfortable.
They even provided me breakfast foods so that I could eat before leaving as I had to leave before their scheduled breakfast time. Their property reflects their pride in their home. Their warm greetings made me wish I had more time than the overnight stay booked. Very friendly folk!"

"I only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer.
Price was very reasonable compared to alternatives in Victoria.
Juliette was very responsive in the run up to my stay.
I was in the deluxe suite - bed/pillows were super comfortable and I had a nice desk to work from. The house was clean and there was access to all kinds of spaces/rooms throughout. If you've of my vintage and were into the Hardie Boys - her library had about 15 books from the series. Nice touch.

"Our stay at Karl and Mandy’s couldn’t have been better! From the easy check-in to the incredible grounds, delicious breakfast and our nightly soak in our private hot tub, everything was top notch. We were even greeted by two does on our first morning! With a fifteen minute drive from the airport and another fifteen to downtown Victoria, the location is ideal. I definitely recommend these accommodations and would very much like to return the next time we visit Victoria!"
