"The place was not what is shown on the website. The hallways smell and the carpets are stained and disgusting. My initial impression was for the money and the proximity to the location of what I was in town for would do. The first room given to my family and I smelled like dog pee, had to ask for a room change. In which I will give credit for they did give us another room which did not smell. The pool, fitness room and the fountain outside the hotel were all down for maintenance and did not know exactly when the amenities would be restored. Having to ask for your basic necessities was a problem and the fact that they charge a $100.00 deposit for hotel incidentals and have not seen my despising yet! No one had any answers for anything I asked and everyone was just annoyed at having to do their basic job descriptions. One thing I will say the cleaning staff was nice and their complimentary breakfast was good. Other than that, I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean, fresh up to date hotel with working amenities. If in town for a brief visit and you don’t care about the hotel cleanliness then this would work. "

"It was the stay from Hell. We arrived around 8pm tired and we got to the room the AC said 60 degrees but it Horribly HOT. The room Smelled Musty, like the ac had not worked for days. Went to the front desk and after the receptionist trying to get us someone to fix the AC, and we insisted in getting a new room so we could showered & rest. The new room the AC was cool and we went to bed. At 3;00 AM the Smoke Alarm started to Beep Loudly, went to call downstairs the Phone was broken. Finally the evening Manager came, who told us you Could hear the Alarm all the way to the elevator, Imagine how loud it was in the room. After he disconnected it, He mentioned how warm it was in the room, and decided to lower the ac all the way to 65 degrees to give it a boost. He advised us to communicate with the manager, Neil in the morning and let him know All We Had Gone Through. We left at 11;00 am and till Today, 5 Days After Our DEPARTURE HE STILL HAS NOT CALL!!! Our Stay There Was Not Bad LUCK, It’s a Failure from Management to Maintenance. Too Many Hotels Available Near I-75 to have to Settle & Stay There "

"My sister and I stayed for a weekend and we loved this hotel. The rooms were cleaned, the staff were always helpful when I needed something and it was nice and quiet. Free breakfast was great, they had different options everyday. It’s a good place from everything we wanted to see, the max amount I had to drive was 30 minutes. The area of this hotel felt safe and especially at night for my sister and I. If any women, is looking for a safe area to stay while in Miami, Miami Lakes should be at the top of your list. Definitely going to stay at this hotel next time I’m in Miami. "
