"Pets welcome but advise in advance, perfect location, cozy, easy access for local sight seeing and there’s lots of places to go and see. There’s an M&S food at the garage about 200 metres away, good pub within walking distance but allow 30 mins there, and about an hour to get back in the dark 🙂 There is a microwave and induction hob with fridge and toaster in the kitchen but no oven, all you need unless you brought a pizza, no big deal we just froze it and had it when we got home. "Stayed for work. Free parking. Good breakfast, clean and refurbished rooms and lovely grounds. Food was well priced and tasty. Much better than I expected."

"Stayed here to break up the journey driving from France to Manchester and chose it largely based on price so I wasn't expecting much and therefore was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean, rooms were a good size, beds really comfy and staff welcoming and professional. Kids loved the fishtanks, a great touch. Breakfast was really busy at 9am but the staff worked hard. Cereal, toast, coffee and a full English were all had. My only criticisms are that the room was a bit dated and the bathroom needs a facelift. The shower was powerful enough but the showerhead was fixed and low (I'm only 6ft) so a bit awkward. The tv is small and far away from the bed but that's just me being picky. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely stay here."

"A very nice hotel with some very nice touches such as nice soaps, towels and an excellent cooked to order breakfast. Didn’t use the bar but it had a nice selection of beers in a comfortable environment. Rooms appear to be slightly dated and no air conditioning but a fan is provided, overall an enjoyable comfortable stay and I recommend it."

"Really enjoyed my stay, it was relaxing. Used the pool and spa which was just out of this world. The grounds were well maintained and spent loads of time there. My only issue was my room (wendover) it was a good size and had an olde world charm to it but when looking at it closely there were many dead flies by the window and in the evening could hear rats running around up in the ceiling which was freaky and therefore had lack of sleep. I didn’t bring it up with the staff as I knew there wasn’t much they could do about it. But overall I would go back but make sure I wasn’t on the 2nd floor!"

"Breakfast excellent but the meat at theSunday carvery wasn't covered by staff all the time and consequently blue bottle flies were walking over the roast beef which put you off. When said about it to the staff member she just smiled and gave a little laugh. Not the most suitable answer. Otherwise the stay was very good."
