"Laundry area had a nice sitting area with hot water for tea"

"hotel might need a refresh from the nineties but was very clean and the staff was quite helpful. needs new pillows, the stuffed bean bag pillow was hard to sleep with "

"Great place easy to find walking distance to all good and convenient stores 10 minutes Has a tub on the roof for relaxing"

"Worst night of my life. There was an alarm bell going off 5 times during the night, so I hardly had any sleep at all. When I finally gave up and left at 5am, there was nobody in the reception, otherwise I would have demanded a full refund."

"Biking up to this property is not for the weak minded individuals. But it’s a great property with awesome rooms and an amazing onsen and restaurant in it. Staff was very helpful despite limited English and I would stay again."

"Great hotel, excellent staff, views and convenient"

"We stayed one night prior to beginning our bike ride. The hotel is across the street from from the Onomichi train station. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The check in was smooth, the location is perfect if you are coming by ferry from Onomichi, 2 minute walk. The complimentary lemon beer, juice and water were a nice touch. The public bath was very good too. The main street is very desolate, only a couple of restaurants open and all the shops were closed most of the time."

"It’s a stone throw away from the station. Initially went to store my luggage since I arrived earlier before check-in and both my luggage were sent straight to my room when I came back in the evening. Hotel may look dated but everything works well and it’s a comfortable stay."

"great staff, perfect location for the start or end of Shinamami Kaido, and rooms are comfortable a clean. Amenities perfect"

"It was a fine stay. The room was cool with the projector for viewing and we loved the souvenir machine. We slept comfortably and the hotel was quiet. The room was fairly clean and water pressure was great for the shower. Free bottles of water in the room was nice as well. However the cafe closed early, the ice cream machine wasn't working and the rooftop bar was closed. The property had dust bunnies throughout and staff was sparse which made it feel a bit like a ghost town. "

"Ideal location and amenities for cyclists on the Shimanami Kaido . Highly recommended."

"This is a traditional Japanese guest house. It has an amazing view and is a unique place to stay. Would highly recommend but don't book if you want a western style hotel."

"It was my 50th birthday treat with my parents. They both likes the hotel and enjoyed the stay. My mum thinks she would bring her friends next time. "
