"My partner and I booked a suite at the Novotel for 2 days as we were visiting Sheffield to watch the World Snooker Semi Finals. The hotel could hardly be better situated for the snooker as it is a 5 minute walk from the Crucible Theatre, right next door to the Winter Gardens. The hotel suite was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were really helpful. "Check in was busy but the 2 reception guys were very efficient. Room was a little tired and very cold - couldn’t work out how to turn the aircon off and the light system was complicated. I ate in the Lounge Bar and the staff there were great, felt I couldn’t hear myself over the music - was quite loud. Food was fantastic! Didn’t sleep very well!! Breakfast was brilliant- wanted to say thank you to a fantastic member of staff that assisted me, went out of her way to find out allergen information...

"Chose this hotel for spa due to long flights to get there and was told specifically by the hotel that even though they were closing down that the spa services were still available until the close of the hotel. Got there and asked about spa services and was told that the massage therapists were not accepting any more appointments for the last 3 weeks. So no massage no pain relief. Had I known this I would have stayed elsewhere!"
