"We stayed overnight the day before our wedding and on our wedding night at this charming facility. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We had friends and family who stayed over at the Royal Swan and enjoyed breakfast with us before heading back home. The staff were efficient friendly and effective in providing a 1st class service during our stay. We would highly recommend this facility to anywhere needing accommodation in the area. "

"The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes"

"Why take your family away and stay in a faceless corporate hotel, cramped into one room, sitting on the beds, when you could be enjoying a lovely quiet rural cottage style family suite! Friendly, welcoming host, tasty continental breakfast - this is a very comfortable, spacious accommodation with all the amenities. The suite was perfect for us, centrally located, just a few minutes walk (no pavement) to the village, with some great eateries. "

"I absolutely loved my stay at Lady Hamilton! I was in town for the historic dockyard and was thrilled to find a room in a historic pub!
