"This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. "

"Mooie locatie met een geweldige tuin, waar de natuur volop aanwezig is (flora én fauna). Uitstekende service; zo mochten we wat langer na uitcheck-tijd op de kamer blijven om te douchen na het raften. Super! Aardig personeel en prima eten. Prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Onze kamer was wat gedateerd, maar dat was geen probleem en hij was bovendien ruim en met prachtig uitzicht. "

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. "

"Wonderful of the grid adventure! Like visiting family, the host is friendly and knowledgeable. You are right in the jungle with howler monkeys, colorful birds and lush vegetation. Rain on the tin roof at night made sleeping a tranquil experience."

"Suppose in some near death experience you received a glimpse of heaven. "The forest and the wildlife are the reason for staying here so in that respect this place gets 10 out of 10. We did a birding tour and a night walk and took advantage of the free nature walk. The latter was conducted by Joel and I strongly encourage people not to pass on this even though they may have other tours booked. "We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you ! "

"We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. "

"Hotel bonito, en medio de la naturaleza, cerca del Río Sarapiqui. Habitaciones e instalaciones cómodas. Todo limpio y bien cuidado. Tiene un restaurante muy bueno, especialidad en carnes, aunque todo lo que pedimos estuvo muy bien. Desayuno bueno, variado, aunque quizás podría ser un poco más abundante. Es lo único a mejorar. Buen precio. Familia de monos aulladores en árbol cercano. Senderos para caminar dentro del hotel."
