"Excellent location, within walking distance of Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere, also close to the main bus routes. Wonderful hosts, really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. "The hotel is in the beautiful city of Grasmere. There was limited parking even though online advertised available parking. When I booked online, the family room showed two beds. When we arrived, there was only one. The plumbing was very noisy and the shower was very narrow and hard to use. The bed was not comfortable at all. "

"Beautiful views of Lake Windermere. Lovely old fashioned hunting lodge. Lovely big room and bathroom with separate shower and bath.Breakfast was chosen from a menu but took quite some time for order to be taken and meal to be served. Cocktails in the bar are a MUST. "
