"The hotel is run down and in a run down neighborhood. Furnishings are old and shabby. My family of six had 2 rooms for one night …. $960 ! Simply unbelievable — I realize it’s Anchorage in early June and even a third rate hotel might get that rate… but paying that rate for this dump was painful ! NOTE: They say they have an airport shuttle. I called as soon as we got our bags and they said they’d be there In “10 minutes”. "It is a nice hotel right by a lake where the biplanes take off. Fun to watch. If you need a dark room to sleep - this isn’t your hotel, unless you bring something for your eyes. The curtains let light in and this time of year it is light for a very long time!"
