Nice stopover option between Stavanger & Oslo

A classic old hotel, great front desk service, we had a pleasant stay easy to find, easy tio park, nice room, good dinner and nice breakfast.

Seljord is a nice little town in the mountains. The hotel has seen better days and in need of a lot of TLC.

The Seljord hotel is a charming well maintained hotel in Telemark County, Norway. Breakfasts were excellent - full hot breakfast buffet. Dinners have pizza and a very small selection of typical Norwegian dishes. Note that the hotel elevator only goes to the 2nd floor - if you get a 3rd floor room you will be hefting luggage up and down one set of stairs. Bar service is available from 3PM and prices are very reasonable (for Norway). Our 2nd floor room had a spacious balcony. As most hotels in Norway, air conditioning is accomplished by opening the windows.

Et helt greit opphold. Gammelt og sjarmerende på en side, men også noe oppgraderinger som burde vært gjort. Badet var rent, men føltes kaldt og uggent allikevel. Rommet var på loft med skråtak og bittelite. Sengene sjarmerende men litt kronglete å krabbe ut og inn for de som ligger innerst. Frokost var fin. Til at det ikke var så mange gjester hadde de allikevel et godt utvalg. De ansatte må huske at de er ansiktet utad og at et smil og vennlighet er viktig.

Overnatning på farten

Rigtig hyggeligt hotel med fin beliggenhed. Vi ankom omkring midnat og var meget sultne. Nattevagten i receptionen kunne lige fremtrylle et brød, ost og skinke - det var så lækkert og fint. Dejlig atmosfære og mest ældre par, så det var meget roligt.
