Beautiful property, wonderful food, and a kind staff. Be careful to ask for a room with a view. Our first room was in an attic with no view. For an upgrade fee, they were able to give us the amazing view we wanted in a different room.

Photos online look old. They are renovated and clean in person. Located in beautiful grass field with Alps, the hotel has everything you need. I’m glad I found this hotel over others in the main town.

Amazing views bad staff

It's an old hotel. off center need car for everything. the views are amazing it compassed the other disadvantages. The staff is grumpy and unfriendly, they probably needs reminder who is the customer, especially the restaurant manger, very aggressive.

Not as expected

The room was very unpleasant. Only rooftop windows, so we couldn’t see other than the sky. They charged 138 euros for breakfast for two days for two adults and two kids.

This is a pleasing new, or renovated, property with a friendly staff at reception, a good housekeeper, an excellent breakfast, and located in beautiful surroundings. It was about 15 minutes, by bus, to the Berchtesgaden central train station, in one direction and about 15 minutes, by bus, to Konigsee. It took awhile to understand the bus schedules.

I could hear people outside my room in the corridors very clearly (poor sound insulation.). Food in the restaurant was not high quality. I asked where the public transportation (bus stop) was located and received a rude response. Cannot recommend this hotel.

We got a room that was really smelly of dog or dog pee. All the four of us felt the strong smell. We needed to leave after one night even if we booked for two nights and we were discounted only 20% for the second night. They offered to re-clean the room but the dog smell does not go away easily. Bad experience, not to repeat!

Angenehmer Silvesteraufenthalt mit kleinen Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten Bewertung: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 Sterne) Wir haben den Jahreswechsel (30.12.25 – 01.01.26) im Hotel Bärenstüberl in Schönau am Königssee verbracht und waren im Doppelzimmer Deluxe untergebracht. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einer authentischen Atmosphäre. Service & Gastronomie Ein großes Lob geht an das Team: Der Empfang war ausgesprochen freundlich und wir fühlten uns direkt willkommen. Auch im Restaurant war der Service hervorragend – das Personal dort ist sehr aufmerksam und professionell. Das Essen war geschmacklich gut, allerdings fanden wir das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bei den Vorspeisen etwas unausgewogen. Eine Suppe für 9,40 € empfanden wir als sehr teuer. Zimmer (Doppel Deluxe) Das Zimmer war angenehm geräumig, wirkte jedoch von der Einrichtung her ein wenig lieblos. Hier könnte man mit ein paar Details noch mehr Gemütlichkeit schaffen. Zwei praktische Dinge haben wir vermisst: Winter-Check: Da wir viel Schnee hatten, fehlte im Eingangsbereich des Zimmers eine Wasserauffangschale für die Schuhe. Dadurch war der Boden durch das Schmelzwasser leider ständig nass. Ausstattung: Für ein Zimmer dieser Kategorie wäre eine Kapselmaschine für den schnellen Kaffee zwischendurch eine tolle Ergänzung. Fazit: Ein schönes Haus mit tollem Personal und authentischem Flair. Wenn bei der Zimmerausstattung und der Preisgestaltung im Restaurant noch etwas nachgebessert wird, kommen wir gerne wieder!

Gutes Hotel, waren zu dritt über ein langes Wochenende in einem Familienzimmer, hatten ausreichend Platz und guten Komfort. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, wir haben nichts vermisst und uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Restaurant ist für ein Abendessen okay und das Frühstück für 15 EUR angemessen.
