"I cannot say enough great things about our stay at Aranya Vilas! The property is gorgeous, but it’s the staff and the FOOD that make this place truly special.
Kailash at the front desk made organizing every ride transfer seamless and recommended an incredible tour to the Fort that we loved on our last morning (felt like a bonus safari). He went out of his way to make our entire experience stress-free, including a 90-min massage at the property.
My guy Vijay at the restaurant came early each day to make sure we got our coffee, apples, and bananas before our morning safaris. He even packed us a goodie bag with water and extra fruit to go. He’s a homie and we loved him!
Lastly, the food is absolutely incredible here. Highly recommend paying for the package to include your meals, and if you’re unfamiliar with the cuisine, let Vijay take the lead and make sure to show the chefs some love too!
If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll be staying here 100%."
"The best property to stay at in the area, there are activities and cultural shows to keep you entertained throughout the stay and the rooms are such unique that all your worries fade away"
"Our tent, the grounds and the setting were all fantastic, but the highlight was without question the team - they went above and beyond to help us navigate the government safari tours system, which we would have really struggled with on our own!"
"The real strength of Vanyavilas is its people. The level of service here is world-leading & the team has it mastered to the tee. Every interaction was warm, attentive & natural, & it's what elevates this resort from lovely to exceptional.
A few names deserve special thanks: Pratham, Ritik, Kipa, Bina, Sandhya, the other Sandhya & Shubham, who all made our stay memorable, & Sameer the GM, whose leadership clearly shapes the culture of the whole team. Shubham in particular helped us arrange our safaris, even though we ultimately chose a non-hotel option on cost grounds. He was gracious & helpful throughout, which says a lot about the team's attitude.
The tents are lovely & very comfortable. The resort itself is wonderfully chilled & relaxing, and I loved lounging by the pool. The food is excellent, with varied choices, & even if something isn't on the menu, they'll happily make it for you. The evening entertainment is a real highlight. The qawwali singers were fantastic & made for a memorable atmosphere after dark.
We did two safaris & didn't see a tiger, which we put down to luck rather than anything else. We still thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Two areas for improvement, which matter for a resort of this standing:
1) Insects. There were too many, even inside the room. For a property at this level, this needs attention.
2) The spa. It has only 4 treatment rooms & the steam in my room broke down. A resort of this stature deserves a more substantial, better-equipped spa"
"I dont always write reviews, but feel compelled to after a few days at Anuraga Palace. It is simply sensational. The hotel itself is lovely, the food and the spa are fab. But its the people that make it. They made me feel like their only guest and genuinely had an interest on what i had been up to. I completed my safari bookings wrong and they fixed them, a Tuk Tuk driver tried to tell me he had no change, until the security guard offered to help. Quite simply they all took such pride in the job that each one did.
Thank you Anuraga for being Amazing :-)"
