"We were looking for a unique place to start our holiday and Ca’Palazzo Malvasia really delivered. A former hunting lodge 15 mins outside of Bologna, set in rolling hills and accessed through miles of gravel driveways interspersed with iron gates, the Palazzo is full of sloping corridors, staggered steps, grand rooms and antique furniture, with bookcases bulging with texts from the 1800s.

"The hotel is in a nice neighborhood with a great pizzeria close by. Nevertheless the tour buses took over the breakfast area what made the area overcrowded and noisy. Many of entre plates where empty due to the shear volume of the tour guests been catered."
