I recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson on Cynthia Street in Saskatoon, and while it wasn’t a terrible experience, there are definitely areas that need improvement.
The Room
The most disappointing part of the stay was the condition of the bedding. Upon arrival, I noticed some visible stains on the linens. While the bed itself was comfortable enough, seeing stains on "fresh" sheets is never a great first impression. Additionally, the climate control unit in the room struggled—the heater/AC didn't work well, making it difficult to keep the room at a consistent, comfortable temperature throughout the night.
Service & Housekeeping
Be aware that they currently only provide full housekeeping services every three days. While I understand many hotels have moved toward limited service, this felt a bit infrequent, especially when you're dealing with issues like the stained linen mentioned above.
Pros:
The location is convenient and easy to access.
The staff I encountered were great and friendly.
The price point is reasonable for the area.
Cons:
Cleanliness of linens was subpar.
HVAC unit was underpowered or malfunctioning.
Limited housekeeping schedule.
Summary:
If you just need a quick, budget-friendly place to crash in Saskatoon, this might do the trick, but don't expect a seamless experience. If you’re sensitive to room temperature or expect daily cleaning, you might want to look elsewhere.
