"Great location; renovated historic building. The room was spacious and spotless. We enjoyed the free Porto wine and afternoon high tea with the delicious “pastel de mata.” The breakfast had a variety of fruit, pastries and hot items besides juices annd espresso and cappuccino. The staff was friendly and helpful."

"Location, location, location! Cute little hotel right in the middle of Lisbon and close to everything. Our room was small but adequate and extremely clean and well equipped. My only criticism if any of the hotel was that it didn’t have a little bar area where you can have a drink before dinner. There is a fabulous restaurant right next-door and also just around the corner lots of restaurants to choose from."

The highlight however was the staff. Everyone was so kind and friendly. The main receptionist Ruth went above and beyond for us in dealing with lost luggage an illness and securing restaurant reservations as well as a driver. Book it now before it’s too late. "

"We loved our stay at Torel Palace. The staff was very accommodating with our two Viszla dogs. It cost a bit extra (60 euros) for their stay but well worth it. The room and dog beds and bowls ready for them when we arrived. The restaurant staff was also tremendously hospitable. We had a number of meals there simply because it was so comfortable. The chef's sauce on the beef was to die for. Evidently it takes him two weeks to make it -- but well worth it. From the bellhop to the maid...

"Lovely property right in the middle of all the action. Staff were excellent - warm, welcoming and professional. Breakfast choices were plentiful - the Eggs Benedict very tasty - with fresh squeezed juices, and great coffee. Our highest recommendation is that we will stay there again on our next visit to Lisbon."
