my week in santorini was made more incredible by this hotel the staff was amazing the brekfast was perfect my daily bottle of wine with the hot tub looking out to the santorini sky every night was wonderful we are planning another trip with more family next year and ill be definitely staying here again

An amazing stay at Aja and one I’d highly recommend to all travelling to Santorini. Perfectly placed outside of Kamari and a short walk into the town. Helpful and friendly staff who were available whenever we needed them. Breakfast delivered every day at a time of your choosing made it even better!

Perfect location. Extremely peaceful and only a short and pleasant walk to the main town area. The villa itself was everything we’d hoped for; great facilities, secluded and private and just generally a relaxing place to be. In terms of value, we were shocked at how good value it was. The team at Aja were amazingly helpful and breakfast delivered each morning was a really nice touch. We were heavily delayed on the way out and the staff accommodated us more than we could have asked, with airport collection rearranged and late check in arranged. Even breakfast for the following morning arranged for later. There is nothing even remotely negative to say, and of all the places we saw whilst in town, there were none we felt we’d have rather booked. There is nothing even remotely negative to say and there is no doubt we’ll stay here again. On the island in general, it’s a must visit, and I’d highly recommend Kamari. Crystal clear seas and lots to do. Don’t take the bus round the island, get a buggy instead. Great fun.

This is hands down one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. The property is so beautiful and perfectly located, with amazing views of the beach, mountain and surrounded by vineyards. Close enough to everything but at the same time away from the most crowded areas. The staff is super helpful and friendly; they made our stay a memorable one. Everything was perfectly clean and well maintained. Aja is truly an amazing place to stay.

I arrived early and was lucky enough to check in a little ahead of schedule. Athena, the hotel manager, was incredibly helpful with all my requests, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and took great care of me throughout my stay. Breakfast was perfect and always served on time—especially loved the fresh, hot croissants! The hot tub was spotless and maintained daily, and the local wine waiting as a welcome gift was a lovely touch. The retreat is peaceful and private, and despite being close to the airport, I had absolutely no issues with noise. Kamari Beach is very close, while local shops and restaurants are only about a 10-minute walk away. The open-air cinema is literally a stone’s throw from the retreat, which was especially convenient when the movie finished late. Overall, a wonderful stay with a fantastic location, lovely staff, and great attention to detail. I highly recommend it!

The property is located within 10-15mins walk from the village. We would recommend hiring a car/buggy to get around. The resort was fantastic. Our breakfast was delivered every morning at the requested time. We had our own plunge pool/ jacuzzi which we relaxed in most afternoons. The owner and staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily and was cooled by the excellent air conditioning which was definitely needed with the hot weather. We used the local food delivery service Wolt to order meals if we stayed in but most days we ventured out to the village or beach or took the bus to Fira which was only €2.20. We would highly recommend the resort to anyone. Can’t wait to comeback.

First time in Santorini and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Do not even bother looking anywhere else! Athena is the most hospitable host, who is always available to help with any concerns. The apartment is beautiful, clean, relaxing and in a convenient location. We had such a delightful breakfast each morning, which was also provided by the property. I will definitely be coming back to stay at Aja retreat! Thank you Athena.

Perfect location, perfect stay! Very easy access to Kamari, but felt secluded enough for privacy. All the staff was great and friendly, and breakfast delivered to our patio every morning! This was the perfect place, and accessible to the rest of the island easily. 10/10 would stay here again.

This was a fantastic find! We celebrated our anniversary in Santorini, and this accommodation was perfect. Close to the airport, the hot tub was such a nice touch with the hot days on the island. The attention to detail in the room was incredible, everything from shaving kit, to vanity kit, to sewing kit, a steamer and an ironing board, everything you could ever want and more! Breakfast was delicious every morning, we always looked forward to waking up to it. The floating breakfast on our anniversary was the cherry on top of a fantastic trip! Thanks again Mrs Athena, we will be back 😊

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Aja Retreat and genuinely struggled to find reasons to leave. The standout feature was the attention to detail. The property was spotlessly clean throughout our stay, with housekeeping doing an exceptional job every day, including cleaning and checking the plunge pool. Breakfast was a great start to each morning, with a good selection and different egg dishes available across the week, which added a nice bit of variety. The setting is beautiful and everything feels high quality, from the furniture and décor to the bedding and finishing touches. It manages to feel both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The team were fantastic. They were always quick to respond to questions and gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations that led to some of our favourite meals of the trip. The location was perfect for us, close enough for an easy stroll to the beach while still feeling peaceful and secluded. A few minor points for balance. The outdoor plug socket didn’t work during our stay, although this wasn’t a big issue. The pillows were quite firm and, despite Expedia mentioning a pillow menu, we were told this isn’t offered. Expedia also advertises spa facilities, which doesn’t appear to be accurate and probably needs updating. These were very small issues in an otherwise superb stay. Aja Retreat gets the important things absolutely right: cleanliness, comfort, service and atmosphere. We’d happily return!

Quiet Modern Design Hotel

Our own experience was very good. The complex is fairly new with a few mini villa type rooms. We arrive very late in the evening so we had to wait for some one to come and meet us as there is no man receptionist on site after hours. Although we never saw anyone during the day either. But your host is always available for what ever you need via WhatsApp. The rooms are very nice and the facilities are good and the rooms come with a nice external Jacuzzi. The breakfast is good with only a few options mostly consist of eggs in various forms but they are very accommodating if you prefer fruit only or a slight variation to how you want your breakfast. The shower pressure was the only let down as in the morning you get only a small trickle as you shower. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area which we loved with Kamari beach is only 5 min by car or 20 min on foot. I recommend getting a car as the sun can get really strong.

An absolutely amazing stay for our first time in Greece. Perfect stay for couples and it’s very romantic. The apartment was exceptionally clean and smelt amazing. The outdoor jet pool and terrace was very beautiful and very private. The retreat was exceptionally quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning which was lovely and fresh and we got to pick what time we wanted it. I cant recommend staying here enough. The location is within a 10-15mins drive of most of the island which is really good if you have your own car. Alternatively you can walk to Kamari beach which is about 15 mins away with lots of food options. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay and a little slice of paradise this is it. It’s not too far away from anything. But it’s away from the crowds. I cant wait to go again. Thank you for a perfect stay!

This is a beautiful property! I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because it wasn't practical for any group other than a couple. The shower has a glass door and is beside the bed. The toilet and sink were both in separate locations.

Nice place, good location. we had rented a car so it was a good fit. there is parking right outside. you can also explore kamari. Fira is 14 min by car, and oia 30 min. if you are going to rent a car then this place is 10/10 everything was very clean and nice.
