"Great location in front of the park and easy walking to museums and shopping. Staff everywhere were wonderful and quick and responsive, except in the bar in the evening. The bar only had one server, who was very social, so we had to chase them for service and it was slow. Rooms are being renovated, but the most important areas were addressed - we had a lovely room overlooking the city with big windows. Comfy clean bed, hot water (which is a premium in Costa Rica as Tico's don't appreciate our northerners habit of taking hot showers). A relaxing, great stay overall."

"We had a really lovely stay at Grano de Oro. From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff were attentive and kind. Our room was clean and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Every detail had been attended to to ensure our comfort. We especially enjoyed the restaurant. It is beautifully decorated with a central open air courtyard. The food was excellent. "

"Super high ceilings. Amazing common lounge areas on each floor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. The kitchenette in the suite is lacking amenities (just a microwave, stovetop, and mini fridge). No dishware, glasses, or utensils. Tight and chaotic parking lot. Very enjoyable stay! Highly recommend if you're in this part of town. "
