The hotel staff refused to allow stay do to a no-locals policy after arriving. The front desk staff were not helpful, and refused to allow me to speak with the manager. I was even told by the front desk staff that the manager was in a bad mood, and will not want to speak with me about it. Despite my he hotel staff claiming to request a refund through Expedia, Expdia had no evidence of the hotel staff requesting a refund.
I found the hotel staff/ management to be extremely poor customer facing, and disappointing, and would never recommend a stay with this hotel regardless of my specific experience.
I suggest that if hotels have a no locals policy, this should either be made abundantly clear on the Expedia booking, or a warning being provided during the booking confirmation.
