Due to the location and lack of parking in the area, use of the valet parking was the only option. We were charged $30 per day, plus tips.The valet attendant was rude and distant. We still tipped him.
We arrived just before the 3:00 p.m.check-in window. We dropped off our luggage at the room and came back down to eat only to get turned away at the main dining room. Why do they close for service at check-in time? This caused the adjacent hotel bar/food service area to be over-whelmed. We were totally ignored for over 10 minutes after we were seated, so we moved on.
Our room was located on the second floor above the street. The hotel took up the entire block so it was pretty much wrapped by the streets. There was street racing going on until 3:00 a.m. which made it impossible to sleep.
We brought this up at check-out, no comment.
We replied to a hotel management survey, again no
comment.
The hotel itself is older and charming. The staff could really care less about you.
