"Quiet room, clean spacious and comfortable.
Evening hostess very accommodating, and welcoming. Morning checkout was painting her nails.. lol. All good "
"From the pictures online one would assume this is an upscale hotel, but pictures can be deceiving. The rooms, including the ceilings, are painted a very dark forest green and the lighting is completely inadequate. That goes for the bathroom as well. I had to use my phone's flashlight to find things in my suitcase. And speaking of suitcases, there were no luggage racks, so we had to use the two chairs for our luggage. No microwave, no fridge, and no USB ports or outlets on or near the nightstand. The hot tub has been renamed a "soaking pool" because it has no working jets. You have to climb over an 18" wall to enter and exit the soaking tub and you have to bend over to reach the hand rail on the steps. It is really more of a hazard. The Wifi is classified as unsecure and our phones advised us not to use it. We were told when we checked in that we could not use the swimming pool and indeed we saw people working on it. Nevertheless we were charged $28.80 per day for what the desk clerk called an "amenity fee."
On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and the AC/heat worked. If you stay in one of the upper rooms (we did not) you will probably have a very nice view. Although we could not use the pool, it did look inviting. And if having a bar on the premises is important to you, this may be the place you want to stay."
"Pros:
*Basically clean..although the room and hall flooring would be better brighter and cleaner.
*Mostly quiet, though the long street side of the hotel can be noisy on occasion. Weekends could be a problem.
*Breakfast and coffee were good..better than expected, but the dining room was needing sliding glass door blinds or shades.
Cons:
*Smells! My non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes. Hallways smelled of pet odors masked with deodorants.
*No desk or microwave in the room.
*Other guests mentioned lack of prompt response from staff, phones not answered, plumbing problems not addressed until a day later."
"The bathroom door doesn't close or lock in the hotel room. It has a sliding barn door that leaves gaps on all sides. If you are in the restroom doing your business on the toilet, then everyone else in the hotel room can see and hear everything that you're doing in there. Very awkward and uncomfortable unless you're staying alone."
