My family—including two young children and a senior over 70—was forced
to leave the hotel due to severe health hazards and unacceptable room
conditions. Below is a summary of what occurred:
Uninhabitable Room Condition:
The bathtub drain in room 111 was completely clogged. After attempting
to clear it using the in-room plunger for over an hour, the situation
worsened. The bathroom floor was flooded with standing water, and
black, foul-smelling sewage containing hair and toilet paper fragments
bubbled up into the shower. The odor permeated the room, making it
impossible to use the bathroom or stay safely.
Hotel’s Failure to Resolve:
The front desk informed us that no other rooms were available and
could not provide any immediate solution. Given the health risks,
especially for our children and elderly parent, we had no choice but
to check out and leave.
Promise of Refund:
Before departing, the front desk staff assured us we would receive a
full refund for both nights. We returned the key cards to the
automated check-out drop box at approximately 11:00 PM on Thanksgiving
night as instructed.
Impact on Our Family:
As it was late on a holiday, we were unable to find alternative
