"Location was everything for us, just a 5 minute walk to Ninezaka area filled with beautiful streets. Kiyomizu-dera and other temples/ shrines super close by. Only a 15 minute drive to train station and Nishiki Market. Was such a good spot to stay while getting out of Tokyo for a few days. "

"Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes.
However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though.
The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and...

"If you are staying in the Gion area of Kyoto this hotel is a perfect choice. It was one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Japan. Yasakahan is perfectly situated in the heart of Gion. Everything is walkable. The facilities are excellent - the foot bath and shower/spa is great. Absolutely loved the decor. You really felt like this was your little piece of Kyoto for a few days. "

There was plenty of Shopping / Dining a few yards from our door. As a photographer it allowed me to walk out our door late at night and photograph this amazing neighborhood after the many tourists had left. "

駐車場がないこと（周辺は高い）点が何点と言えば難点ですが、六波羅蜜寺、清水に近く朝の散歩はこの立地ならではのところです。
町屋なのでサイズ感などは昔の家屋ですので入口などは狭く感じるかもしれないです。お風呂も広々、キッチンもついていて犬連れ旅にはもってこいのところでした"

"The bar was a peaceful place to relax and enjoy a drink after a full day out.
It was situated in a perfect location being next to the subway station.
We had the opportunity to experience the local feel of the place and to also enjoy the 20-30 minute walk to Potoncho alley for a completely different vibe.
Catching the subway train 4 stops to kyoto station was easy for the day tour meeting-point.
We were so comfortable here and wish we'd extended our stay.
We will definitely be recommending Noku...
