We liked it all but have a couple of suggestions to improve it. Ban smoking in all outside eating areas; offer drinks when around the pools; provide a very small shop/area where you can buy essentials (eg sun cream, sun hat, cover up wrap etc); provide better tennis balls or option to buy new balls; the bar staff were under extreme pressure so provide more staff; quality of dinner could be improved a little although was decent value for money

Ta Cenc still has its unique style and relaxing atmosphere. There are designated areas for families and adults only. It most definitely is not a theme park!

Great getaway in Gozo. Walking distance from the Ta Cenc cliffs which are a must see and views of Comino and Malta. Beautiful walks from this hotel and even the amazing Mgarr ix-Xini. The hotel itself is a haven, great spa with indoor outdoor pool. 2 other outdoor pools. restaurants, bars cool rooms. I would recommend.

Overall happy with our stay but…

We spent two nights at this wonderful property. Beautiful setting and hotel blends in nicely with the surrounding. We received a nice welcome when checking in but service throughout our stay was not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was particularly uninspiring. The price per night was very reasonable so I would still recommend it based on the comfort and beautiful setting.

The property is well laid out, offering well maintained and comfortable areas for dining, swimming and exercise. Staff are well trained and are eager to assist. No issues there. However, the guest rooms are in need of some attention. Some of the issues we noticed: 1: Broken Tiles in the bathroom. 2: Room furniture shows signs of wear 3: Room air conditioning not operational 4: Bed mattress and pillows are in desperate need of replacement. Mattress is very soft, pillows are very flat. 5: Room TV is small; Remote control has electrical tape holding it together. 6: Toilet seat not entirely secure; shifts while in use 7: Bathtub is small and the bottom is curved (not flat), making it hard not to slip when taking a shower. 8: Could not determine how to use the room safe; no instructions provided. We had a truly memorable stay at this beautiful 5-star hotel and spa. The setting is idyllic, with a perfect balance of tranquility and access to local attractions. It’s an ideal location for both relaxation and exploration. From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm, professional, and eager to help. The spa is a particular highlight. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and a real haven for relaxation. Our room was elegant, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with lovely amenities and attention to detail. The only slight drawback was the comfort of the bed. While the bedding itself was high quality, the plastic mattress protector underneath was a bit noticeable and detracted slightly from what we had expected to be a completely plush, seamless sleeping experience. Service by the pool, while friendly, was also a little slower than expected for a hotel of this caliber. It wasn’t a major issue, but there were a few delays in ordering and receiving drinks, which stood out only because everything else was so smooth and efficient throughout the hotel. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. With just a few small improvements, this would be a flawless luxury escape.

A place you keep coming back to

It was our second time at the hotel and we even got to stay in the same room. Although the decor may be a little bit dated in the bathroom, the overall impression of the place is one of great comfort and charm. The public areas of very well appointed and inviting. The heated pool is such an additional bonus. The staff is wonderful, the food terrific and the surroundings simply stunning.

A fabulous place to stay, the staff are so helpful and friendly while giving you enough space to enjoy the serene surroundings. The only drawback to the whole place are the en suite bathrooms which are tired and in my case had a shower that didn’t work well.

Simply the best!

This is our favourite hotel in the world! It has recently been upgraded with beautiful gardens and redecorated bedrooms. Very comfy beds- I checked out the mattress to see if I can buy one- called Windsor but made in Malta! Another lovely stay with much use of the beautiful spa pool and lovely breakfasts outdoors by the carob tree, with very friendly cats as well! The best relaxing place ever…oh and great evening meals too!

Ta Cenc is a wonderful place to relax. In spite of stormy weather we had a great time; the spa pool is well heated and a lovely setting, and the food was excellent. We have been staying here for 8 years but never in the winter before. The experience was just as enjoyable as on a summer’s day. We’ll be back again in the spring! Ps we love the friendly cats!

This hotel does by far not meet the standard of a 5 star hotel. (we had to change room twice because of black hairs in the bed and pillows, clear lack of staff, beach unclean, locked inside the beach after 16H30 pm, shuttle service not existent). Nevertheless, the beach and nature surrounding the hotel is unique. Staff was very friendly and tried their best with the resource available to them. We will be looking for better alternatives in Gozo next year.
