The room was amazing, so spacious, spotless. Kitchen well equipped. The view from the balcony in the mountain room was amazing. The quiet zone was a lovely view too, where you could get a coffee any time of the day. Vending machine for snacks. The heating in the room was on most of the time, huge lovely radiator, just what is needed when its freezing outside. Location amazing for the three christmas markets and the cog wheel train.

Stay was amazing. Location is beautiful and could not ask for better. It was truly a magical experience for us. There were plenty of things to do around. Staff and the owner especially made us feel very welcome and always smiling. Overall we had a great family time. Would highly recommend this property.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The studio apartment was a good size and equipped with everything we needed. We looked out onto the garden at the side but still had a good view of the lake from the balcony. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre. The lakeside garden has plenty of loungers, there are bikes and paddle boards available to borrow and trampolines etc for those who bring children. The staff were exceptionally helpful - we really cannot fault this accommodation.

Beautiful Views

Lovely place, quiet and accessible walk to town. Go across street to private area, sit and enjoy the lake and mountain view. ONLY PROBLEM room was super hot, no AC and could not leave door open because a few bugs flew in. My husband didn't like that he had to pay for the coffee and bread. The manager was a lovely lady, very helpful. People in the town, not so much! Not engaging at all!

Misleading description: The panoramic room has one window facing a corner and another window facing the neighbour’s balcony. You end up having one real view over the lake. Unacceptable surcharge for basic room cleaning: We had to ask about getting our room cleaned. They told us we had to put a sign on the door for the room to be cleaned. Then on check out, we got a 45 euros surcharge for cleaning. It turns out there is no included change of sheets and towels, even for longer stays (5 nights). The explanation we received was that it was because we booked with Expedia and that the booking didn’t cover the cleaning (they also failed to mention this surcharge when we asked). Lack of proactive communication: Everything we had to figure on our own. How to get the room cleaned (but see issue above), how to get bread, where things were, etc. Good location and view: besides all the annoyances, we enjoyed our stay. The place is not too far and not too close to the busy town (for our taste), and the lake is gorgeous from this angle. No AC: It was hot during our stay. Whether we could open our window at night was contingent on who were our neighbours. It worked out ok, except one night where we had a noisy one and had to keep the windows closed to sleep. Overall: We enjoyed our stay, but won’t return. The smaller issues about comms were ok, but the limited view, the surprise extra charge for basic cleaning, along the high price of the room left a bad feeling.

Excellent location- very relaxing holiday spot! Very good amenities, and very nice to have a common chill zone. Kitchen is well equipped ( although we didn’t use it since so many good restaurants are nearby!). The only suggestion is to have king beds in king rooms- not two twins put side by side.

Great property but watch out for additional charge

Well maintained and renovated property. Missing one star for not informing us about the extra EUR 35 charge for the kitchenette cleaning fee. Have stayed at many places with kitchenette and it’s the first time I’ve been informed we need to pay extra for it. Should have been included in the room price. Even though there’s a lift it stops in the middle of two floors so really doesn’t help very much.

Excellent location, with room overlooking the lake. Seating was available in the garden to be able to take our own breakfast to enjoy outside. Across the road from the hotel was a private garden area with a jetty. Sun lounges and umbrellas were available along with canoes and paddle boards to use. The town centre was only a short walk away with plenty of shops, bars and places to eat. Would definitely go back to St Wolfgang and to this hotel.

THE HOTEL IS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE.

We got to the property early around noon and found no one at the reception area and as directed used the bell. A young person with his mouth full of food came to show us a sign that said check in is a 3.00pm. We walked to the small. town to have lunch when we came back a lady this time a gave us a room that was not what we had picked everything was wrong with this room we showed her the reservation and she said we are sorry this is the room we have available now. We stayed that one night it was horrible we left at 5.00 am unable to sleep because we had insects in our room. Sept 19 we showed at our next hotel and they graciously took us one night ahead of our reservation. We want Seehaus Family Leifer of Sankt Wolfgang im Salzkammergut to returns our money as they did not fulfill their part of the bargain.
