"To start with, no check in information was sent to me before I arrived. When I arrived I couldn't get hold of the owner as he wasn't answering his phone and didn't have the curtesy to reply to the several messages I left, both in the form of answer phone and text. I had to contact Hotels.com via the online chat. Eventually one of the owners employees phoned me and said he would come and let me in. Once in the property, things didn't really improve. "Super hotel set in campus grounds. The reception/bar area is lovely. Rooms were spacious and well decorated with tea/coffee/biscuits. They were cleaned to a high standard daily. Just a couple of points...there is no dedicated dressing table with mirror which made doing hair and makeup a little difficult, moisturising/body cream would be a useful addition to the toiletries supplied. The sink was very slow to drain in one of our rooms. We will definitely stay again when visiting the area as the location is perfect and the staff friendly and helpful."

"I booked two connecting family rooms. Whilst the rooms were clean and nice, we saw an insect crawling on the floor. Also, the bathrooms were quite cramped, especially if one was 6 ft tall. My initial impression of the bathroom was good, but I found it to be too small when I actually used it."
