Pros are the rooms are really nice, the resort is beautiful and the staff working there are excellent. Cons: in the middle of nowhere there is absolutely nothing but the resort on the remote tip of the island. They advertise 7 restaurants but only 4 are open for dinner and the menu never changes. The food is mediocre, not bad just not great. 10pm and everything shuts down apart from a sports bar where they do karaoke and a “disco”. The entertainment had a couple of decent nights, mainly the band who are pretty good but once again they are gone by 10pm, the steel drum player is good but he stops at 8pm. It’s so boring at this place. We had a ten day stay and were ready to leave after four. The swimming pool is freezing, hardly anyone goes in, the hot tub is cold it’s more like a whirlpool not a hot tub. The beach is small and littered with trash, they offer you a lounge chair but no umbrella or shade so it can be very hot. We love Aruba, we have been many times but this place felt more like Aruba Alcatraz isolated and boring. Eagle beach resorts such as the Divi chain are far more in tune with offering a great vacation as are the resorts in Palm beach. Secrets push a hard sell on their vacation club. Maybe if you want total peace and quiet and are an early to bed kind of person this is for you. Unfortunately it was not for us and MANY other guests we spoke to were highly disappointed.
