Dramatic location

Perched at the summit of a mountain in the historical center of the Republic of San Marino this hotel is excellent, they parked my car, fast, check-in, elegant marble lobby, and nice room.

Great place. Easy parking

Grand Hotel San Marino is just outside the main wall of the city what make is possible to be able to park but you are still a few steps from the main entrance. Beautiful view from the room and restaurant associated with the hotel is one of the best ones in town.

Amazing San Marino

Hotel was beautiful. It was clean and safe. Only two things I would note that was both minor was 1) The shower head had a lot of limescale in it, I had to break it up to get the shower to flow evenly 2) I felt that the gentleman that ran the restaurant was standoffish The reception team and housekeeping team were extremely welcoming and engaging and San Marino is an absolute beautiful place. Favourite place on my trip of 7 countries

Highly recommend this hotel. The view from the balcony was amazing. The staff was all very lovely and very helpful. Please note that this hotel is located at the top of the mountain past multiple staircases. If you have large suitcases like us, make sure you call the hotel because they have a free shuttle that can pick you up from the bus stop in San Marino,

Old but excellent hotel

Old hotel with great location and very clean and spacious rooms, although the furniture is a little bit old. The service was great, with the only exception of a very rude young guy with dark hair who checked us in on the first day (not the young man wearing glasses, who is very kind and polite).

The dinner restaurant on premises was economically priced for the area and our meal was excellent. The breakfast buffet was expansive. We enjoyed our balcony. Street parking was easy in front of the hotel in November and validated by the hotel for 4 Euros. The many electrical switches and panels were very confusing and yet there weren't enough electrical outlets to easily charge two iPhones.

Not what its cracked up to be

It may not be the tourist season, but one expects that if a hotel is open, then it should offer full services... Aperitivo is an essential part of Italian hotel business, but the bar is poorly stocked and you need to go to reception to find someone to serve you a drink... room furnishings were very worn and tired... i'm not a fan of shower-over-bath, not really 4 star... the view is nice though.

This property is in an absolutely amazing location in San Marino. We loved everything about our stay with the exception that our room which was to be available at the check-in time of 2:00 pm was not available until 3:30. The hotel staff gave us complimentary wine and chips while we waited and extended our check out time by an hour (which was great!), but that we had limited time on our schedule in San Marino we were disappointed not to be able to check in on time. That said, don’t let our experience discourage you as this is an amazing property!

The hotel was excellent although we had short visit due to business the surroundings were nice, the hotel clean and personal polite. The only inconvenience is the lack of parking due to the location of the hotel right on the Main Street. They solved that my having one of their team promptly moving the car to garage. But it being like that one was limited to come and go with the car.
