The property is very centrally located---just minutes to the National Museum of CR, restaurants, theaters, etc. Check-in was easy. Breakfast was good--they did not serve any meat at all but overall good.

This hotel is in a centrally located area in San Jose with nice dining options nearby, shopping, museums, and theaters. Each room is unique and clean. The breakfast bar has nice fresh fruit, eggs, pinto, plantains, toast, creal, cheese, juice, coffee, and tea available. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Every room in this hotel is unique. It is in a great location to walk around the downtown and explore the National museum. There are some great restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good place

Really nice place, rooms are small but you can go reading or discuss in the many places in the hôtel (cozy places) or on the little common terrasse. Clean place. Easy to walk from the hôtel to many places in the center of San José.

From the minute we got picked up from the airport I knew it was going to be wonderful. The hotel itself, a refurbished Victorian mansion, is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated. The amenities are excellent and the rooms are modern and spacious.

The hotel is beautiful. Lovingly restored w beautiful art. The staff was friendly, helpful and very responsive. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; our room came w an upgrade which was unexpected and much appreciated. The only downside for us was the considerable train noise as the tracks run just behind the hotel; sleeping was difficult for only that reason.

Beautiful hotel with simple, comfortable rooms.

A beautiful hotel! The rooms aren’t anything fancy, but are comfortable and great for a short stay. There are plenty of communal areas to sit I. The rest of the hotel outside the room, and it is quite lovely out there. Nice breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating. I showed up a day early and they quickly changed the reservation and got us into a room. I would absolutely stay here again.

I did like the central Location and the General look. The staff at the recepcion was very nice. I did not like at all that there were many Tourist groups which were very loud also during the Night. I missed roules from the hotel for that issue.

The property is in a good location as it is walking distance to the National Museum, National Park, Plaza De La Cultura and other points of interest in San Jose. However, the facility is too close to the train track. As a result the noise level is too loud and train runs early in the morning affecting ability to sleep in a bit.

Noisy

This was my second stay at Fleur De Lys, but I don't remember the first time being as noisy as this stay. The daily trains blew their horns every time they passed by the hotel. This made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Also, our room was next to the stairwell, and we heard constant walking throughout the night. This will be our last stay here, but the on good thing is that it was close to Central Avenue.
