Property is located in a not so desirable neighborhood. From the outside property looks well kept . However once you enter the building u will notice its not well maintained. We spent two nights there and the room was awful. From entering the room , the light switch which also controls the fan was not working as expected. The bed sheet seemed to have a cigarette burn , which i found out later a big stray fluff. The pillow case had a blood stain . Room is super small and bathroom even smaller. Wallpaper peeling off and the door handle came off. My wife was stranded in there for a while . Bailed her out by opening door from outside. There was rust everywhere and the shower control was broken. Awful bathroom. The elevator ( only had one ) was old and took ages to come . Constantly full of people so took a while to get down from 4th floor . Decided to walk down the stairs - a big mistake as they are super narrow and windy. Be very careful. Checkin front desk staff could not be bothered. I would highly recommend paying a little extra and stay at the Marriot/ Hyatt class of hotel . I learned my lesson and want to let other people know of my bad experiences. .

I always rate hotels by the bathroom/shower condition. This was below my standards- limited hot water, old tiles...just not for me.

It located in the center of SF. Very convenient. Room was clean and staff was helpful. Only thing needs improvement to have an extra blanket in room. We asked an extra blanket because the blanket on bed was too thin.

Hotel was lovely but they need to upgrade their windows to some sort of soundproofing... the hotel is a good area close to union square and very walkable sf but at night as a weary traveller last i wanted was to hear every hour people yelling and screaming in agony outside my room other than that it was fantastic

Like it says Boutique hotel, it was “cute”, well kept but the room was small. It was fine cause all we needed was a bed and shower. It would’ve been nice if breakfast was served a bit longer. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The water did not work and would cut out while showering. The heat also did not work. We notified the front desk about both issues and neither issue was fixed. The heater actually started shooting out water while the sink was not working which was kind of funny.

The main floor communal areas are super cute. Very small rooms and a tiny staircase with one elevator so lucky we were only on the third floor. But the bed was super comfortable and the staff were excellent. Very good place for price. Would stay again.

The hotel is an old, established building which offers clean, comfortable beds and bathrooms and a comfortable reception area. Lots of eating places nearby. As in most busy cities, quite noisy outside, but quiet on 9th floor. Service from Vivian on reception was outstanding.

I stayed here for four nights. I had a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again. I had a very early flight and arrived earlier than check-in. I was helped by Vivian. She was able to get me into a room a bit earlier. She is an absolute gem! Super kind and friendly. Every single staff member in this hotel is super friendly. It's an older building, but everything inside has been nicely renovated. The room was sweet and had everything you could need. The neighborhood is perfectly fine; right downstairs are a bunch of diners, shops, and, honestly, everything you would need. Go 5 blocks in one direction; it could get a bit sketchy; however, 2 blocks away are Starbucks, Nordstrom, Macy's, and a mini-Times Square, if you will. I traveled solo, and I felt completely safe walking around. Overall, it was a great stay and experience, and I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is clean, all the people who works here are nice and kind. Must be said the hotel needs a small renovation (new windows for example) but this doesn’t affect the quality of the stay.

The elevator wasn’t working, and they didn’t tell me after until after I had checked in. I had a bad knee, and it was very hard to get up the stairs.

Some homeless situations in the area. No parking , had to pay between $38 to $45 a day to park our rental car. We try to get up early to have some pastries and we never could, pastries were always gone by 8:30am Night time desk staff was a bit short of words and not too friendly with guests. Room was clean and maids were quick to make sure we had enough towels etc... Overal a good place to stay for a few days, we enjoyed the orange and lemon water available for guests at the lobby. Adbula and the desk clerk that speaks spanish were incredible. It would be helpful for guests if King George could make some arrangements with the parking across the street so guests who stay at the hotel could pay less that $38 or $43 a day to minimize cost. It would it be better to stay in a hotel with parking as we added almost $200 to our bill just for parking.Thank you

Los botones del elevador no funcionaban del todo bien, costaba que se marcaran los pisos 4 y L, ademas el botón de cerrar la puerta no servía. Las ventanas de las habitaciones no tienes aislamiento acústico, de noche se escuchan mucho los autos y el ruido de los indigentes.

I stayed at King George and it’s honestly the best place to stay if you just want a place to rest and expose San Francisco without spending too much. If you don’t want all the extras and modern designs and grand entrance. This is the place for you. Highly recommend.

Great, comfy, affordable, good location. We had a great stay at King George Hotel. Beds were comfy, good location close to BART and union square. I would recommend and stay again !

I was only there for one night, but it was clean and quiet. My only complaint is that there was no phone charger near the bed and the lamps next to the bed could only be controlled via a switch inside the door. Otherwise, great!
